Renegade Rex K9 Ranch is a 501(c)(3) German Shepherd and Belgian Malinois rescue in Port St. Lucie, Florida. Adopters are welcome nationwide, dogs can travel, adoption can be same day for a ready home, and dogs can be trained before pickup. The ranch does not breed. The answers below cover adoption, visiting, donating and the dogs themselves.
Can I adopt from out of state?
Yes. Adopters have traveled to the ranch from across the country, and dogs can be shipped when needed. The adopter pays transport. If you are investing in travel, we recommend having the dog trained first.
How long does adoption take?
It can be the same day if the adopter is truly ready for the dog. Most take a little longer while we talk, you meet the dog and we make sure it is the right match.
Do you breed dogs?
No. The ranch does not breed. One litter was born here after a rescued Malinois arrived pregnant, and those puppies are placed through the same process as every other dog.
Where is the ranch?
Port St. Lucie, Florida, on the Treasure Coast. The address is shared with approved adopters before a visit.
What breeds do you rescue?
German Shepherds, Belgian Malinois and other high drive working breeds and their mixes.
Where do the dogs come from?
Many are pulled from euthanasia lists. Others are surrendered by owners who can't give them the time they need.
Can I visit the ranch?
Yes, by appointment after your adoption call.
Can the dog be trained before pickup?
Yes, through our partner trainers. Ask on your call.
What does adoption cost?
Fees depend on the dog and how much training it has had. We talk through it on the call.
Is my donation tax deductible?
Yes, to the extent the law allows. Renegade Rex K9 Ranch is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
